February Morning Work {First Grade}

What a great start to the day! With February Morning Work for First Grade, children get a rigorous, fun and engaging brain workout with literacy, math, spelling, science, and more! This could also be used as homework, in a homeschool or for fast finishers. This packet could also be used as a review for second graders, or for advanced Kindergarteners.

The pages are all similar, so children can get used to practicing the skills and be able to do them independently.

February Morning Work: First Grade Skills practiced each day:

Each page contains the following sections.

1. Write the date.

2. Word problems: Addition or subtraction

3. 10 more/10 less

4. Shapes. Color the shape mentioned. Color ½, 1/3…of the shape.

5. Plural Words: Make the word plural by adding –s or –es.

6. Beginning Sounds: Look at the picture and identify the beginning sound. Write the letter and finish writing the word.

7. Place Value: write how many tens and ones.

8. Read the sentence, find the mistake (punctuation or capitalization), and rewrite the sentence correctly.

9. Cut and paste simple science sentences in order. These sentences are related to planet earth.
