February Morning Work: First Grade Skills practiced each day:

Each page contains the following sections.

1. Write the date.

2. Word problems: Addition or subtraction

3. 10 more/10 less

4. Shapes. Color the shape mentioned. Color ½, 1/3…of the shape.

5. Plural Words: Make the word plural by adding –s or –es.

6. Beginning Sounds: Look at the picture and identify the beginning sound. Write the letter and finish writing the word.

7. Place Value: write how many tens and ones.

8. Read the sentence, find the mistake (punctuation or capitalization), and rewrite the sentence correctly.

9. Cut and paste simple science sentences in order. These sentences are related to planet earth.
