What a great start to the day! With January Morning Work Kindergarten, Children get a rigorous, engaging and fun brain workout that practices skills needed in Kindergarten. Children will sharpen skills in sounding out CVC words, subtraction, number sense, sight words, reading comprehension, counting, and more!

Each page is jam-packed with activities, and are similar so children get accustomed to the activities and can do them independently each day. This packet contains fun winter graphics so it can be used during those cold winter months. You can use this as morning work, homework, in a homeschool setting, or for fast finishers. This packet would also be great for advanced preschoolers or for first grade review.

January Morning Work Kindergarten skills covered each day:

(Each page contains the following sections)

☀️Isolate and pronounce the initial, medial vowel, and final phonemes in 3-phoneme words: Look at the picture, sound out the CVC word, write the word.

☀️Counting & Cardinality, Represent Subtraction with drawings, and Subtraction operations within 10:  Count the items and write a subtraction equation to demonstrate the picture.

☀️ Number Sense, Subitization, Number Words: Circle all of the things that equal the number on the sign (counting fingers, base blocks, number words, ten frames, dice, or tally marks).

☀️ Decoding, blending, segmenting, sight words, high-frequency words, reading comprehension: Read and trace the sight word sentence, then draw a picture of what it says.

☀️ Patterns: Cut and glue the missing pieces of the pattern.
