PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Printables and Activities for children to practice Spanish colors. These pages are designed for the elementary teacher or parent to gently introduce Spanish vocabulary. This works well as a review and supplement to a Spanish curriculum as well. Extensive knowledge of the Spanish language is not required to use these pages. Most of the titles are in Spanish with the instructions in English. The work pages are self-explanatory and do not require an answer key.

Spanish Colors Printables & Activities Included:

  • Two colors reference pages:

one has the color words, one does not. Children learn the color song and point to the color as they sing.

  • Two question posters:

-to hang up, practice, and reference as students are learning colors. “¿De qué color es…?” means What color is… and can be applied to nouns to ask what color it is. Students answer by saying “Es (color).” “¿Cuál es tu color favorito?” means “what is your favorite color?” To answer, children will say “es. (color).”

  • Individual Color Sheets:

-students practice coloring, tracing, identifying, writing and constructing each color word. includes an individual page for each: rojo, verde, amarillo, gris, azul, anaranjado, negro, morado, blanco, marrón, rosado, (alternate color words naranja and violeta are included)

  • Color Review Sheets:

engaging, hands-on workpages for students to practice and review color vocabulary. (8 pages)

  • Las Estrellas:

for auditory practice of the colors. Teacher calls out the colors as students identify them on the page.

  • Color Matching Game:

for 2-4 players: students match the color with color word. Students take turns turning over two cards at a time trying to find matches. After all matches are made, the student with the most matches wins.

  • Color Sorting Activity:

students sort the items into the baskets with the correct color word.
